Leadership
European Secretariat
Role
The European Secretariat advises the leadership and, with the President and the Executive Board, runs the association. It keeps the federation in line with the orientations of the European Meeting, oversees appointments to the Ethics Committee and the Disputes Committee, organises the association ahead of internal elections and advises the Executive Board on the appointment of regional referents.
Composition
It brings together the President, every national delegate and members appointed by the national delegates on a proposal from the President, chosen among members who hold no other office. Members serve unpaid for two years, renewable once.
How it works
It meets at least twelve times a year, convened by the President, and is chaired by one of its members. It decides by an absolute majority of the votes cast, with a quorum of a majority of its serving members, and minutes are kept of every meeting.
