Frequently asked questions

How do membership and voting work?

Member, Maastricht Circle and Patron membership include voting rights at the European Meeting and eligibility for the drawing of lots to the General Council, under the statutes. Supporters and institutional partners have no vote.

Can I cancel?

You can cancel within 14 days of payment for a full refund. You can switch off automatic renewal from your member account.

What happens after I apply?

Membership is active once payment succeeds. The executive board can refuse an application within 30 days with a full refund and an email explaining the decision. Supporters become active only after explicitly confirming by email.

Who qualifies for the under-30 rate?

Applicants must be 18 or older. Maastricht Circle costs €29 a year while you are under 30. Your date of birth is required and eligibility is checked again at renewal.

Can an organisation join?

Student associations, NGOs, universities and companies can enquire about a partnership agreement. Partnerships are separate from membership and do not carry voting rights.
