Pierre-Jean Clausse
Founder & President
Pierre-Jean Clausse is the founder and President of Génération Maastricht. He is a doctoral researcher in public law at the University of Geneva and the University of Turin. He served as an EU Climate Pact Ambassador from 2022 to 2025, is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, and was a panellist at the intersessional consultation of the UN Cybercrime Ad Hoc Committee in Vienna in 2023. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
Shane Abela
Secretary-General
Shane Abela is Secretary-General of Génération Maastricht. He is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in Geography and Spatial Data Science from King's College London. He worked in audit and advisory in London, most recently as a Senior Associate at Moore Kingston Smith, after an internship in finance at the French Ministry of Justice. He is co-founder of Atelier Cavalier.
